At what age do they start ed at schools?

i think mines was 4th grade? or 5th? one of those and i live in CA. ....and it really didn't do much for me than raise more questions that I WAS NOT going to ask my teacher with a blank face about. haha. Parents talking to their kids is a good thing-if you don't end up stuttering like an idiot cause they will probable;y know everything you are trying to tell them anyway [for the most part].
