Shoul I go to his parents' house despite this?

first time when i met my boyfriend's mom it was at a golf course. i didnt take anything for her, but somehow i felt she was thinking that i was some kind of a gold digger since she paid for our lunch. so next time when she came to visit her son i sent to her through him a very expensive present. she thanked me through an email and to that i replied by saying she shouldnt thank cuz she was like a mom to me. and in the email i also wrote that her son would be taking me to her house during our break. right after a week, my boyfriend called me and said he was sad cuz he was told by his dad on the phone not to bring in any visitor because their house was still under construction and they would be embarred by it. meanwhile, i didnt tell my boyfriend what i wrote in the email. yet after hearing what he said i felt really offended because i thought i was supposed to be the part of their family. and his brother's girlfriend has been living in that house for two years. there is no difference between her and me after all. my head is totally jammed. should i tell my boyfriend that i dont want to go to his parents' place? he was pushing me more about it and he again made plan to take me there in winter when their house will be done with innovation.
