Is the city invading your privacy fence legal?
I am sure there's not much I can do but figured I would ask. The city built a school behind my house and the genious that planned it out put the playground that acts like a watch tower and basketball court on elevated ground not more than 20 feet from my privacy fence out back. Anyone standing on this ground can see into my bedroom, my swimming pool (makes me not even want to swim), and my outdoor atrium with birds. Now when I go swimming kids yell at me like when I kiss my wife in the pool they'll yell profanity if they are old or yell EWWWW if they are little, throw rocks at my birds to get their attention, and teachers even look at me while I do yard work or swim. It's a elementrary school but even after school there are TONS of kids constantly hanging out there and playing basketball even at night, not just little kids either teenagers that look like junkies. If I took a picture you would be in disbelief how well they can see in my house and I can see them it makes me want to move and I lived here nearly 20 years it's so bad I will have a hard time selling it now. I can hear kids yelling throughout my house. Is this wrong? Could I sue the city or make them buy my house? Would it be legal to install a second fence in front of my pool/house? Is there any giant bush I can put in front of my fence? Any advice, anything just to keep them from seeing my house and pool I would greatly appreciate this is really getting on my nerves and I am seriously worried im going to get robbed.
