Recommend some books from what I've read recently?

If you have been enjoying Vonnegut, try Oryx and Crake by Margaret Atwood. I cannot recommend it highly enough. Have you ever read John Irving, he was a student od Vonnegut's. I would suggest The World According to Garp as a first, if you have seen the movie do not let it deter you from the book. If you really don't want to try Garp, try Widow for One Year.
