GTA 5 Online?

My friend said that the new GTA coming out this April for 360 and PS3 is going to have online with 16 players. With diffirent modes like TDM, DM, cops v.s. villains, racing, free roam (sounds freakin sick), and some other ones I think. Is this true? I've heard that this could be a prank, because if it's true this game is in my #1 list.
