He claims his $700/hour price is standard and I told him to go randomly ask 100 people if they think his prices are ridiculous and at least 85% will tell him he is nuts. I have been recovery from a cold for almost a week! Friday will mark a week that I will of had this cold. I had a scracthy throat last Friday when I woke up with it. Then Saturday I woke up really stuffed up and kind of a sore throat that lasted till about Monday or Tuesday. Around that same time of Monday or Tuesday I started feeling better in my sinuses and was congested up there but then it started moving to my chest now I cough with no real reason cuz my throat doesn't hurt, although I know its to get the phlegm up! So my question how long should I let my chest congestion go on before I go to the doctor it appeared about Monday (2 days ago) and now I keep coughing. (I am a smoker) although I haven't smoked more than 5 cigarettes in the past 3 days which is good as I smoke about a pack a day usually. but besides that how long should I wait to go to the doctor? This is a specific answer using the only piece of software that I use... I have a Soundblaster Live! sound card. The software that came with it included a utility called "Creative Recorder". What you can do with that is start up the Creative Recorder program, and one of the choices on its menu is to record "What U Hear". Start up the recorder, and then start up the Real Audio playback. The Creative Recorder will keep recording the sound produced until you click on the "Stop" control. The resulting file will be a .wav file, which you can then convert to .mp3 or do with it what you wish. Sorry I can't be more general in the answer.

I have known people in the same predicament that didn't have a heartrate till later than this and it was fine. I would not jump to have a D & C. A friend of mine didn't have a heartrate till 2.5 weeks after mine which was 5wks, 4 days, her baby was born 2 days after mine when she went into labor (I was a scheduled c-section) and her son was full term, no breathing issues, 7lbs (same as her other two kids). Do another scan, and if no heartrate then, ask the doc to do some serial hcg's to see if its rising. If it is, they will be willing to do another scan after that.

It's about 2005 Mazda 3 Hatchback. When accelerating everything is normal. When keeping the same speed, everything is normal. When the speed goes bellow the current speed, then the car starts shaking. I decided to test it on open road to make sure it's not because of bumpy street. I accelerated up to 170km/h, while accelerating everything was normal. When I released the gas pedal the car and gearshift started shaking like crazy. When I wanted to put into 5th gear, the gearshift was shaking like crazy. It doesn't matter if the car is in netral, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th or 5th. And it doesn't matter if the engine rpm is high or low. What could be the problem ?

I can't get tapcon screws to tap into the concrete slab!?

My husband and I are installing a 5/8" plywood subfloor plus 1" foam over our concrete slab. We are using 3/16 tapcon screws that are 2 3/4" long. We have rented a hammer drill, and are using a 5/32 bit to drill into the concrete. We are drilling down 1/4" longer than the screw, but the screws don't seem to be tapping into the concrete. Maybe our regular drill does not have enough power to get the screws to go down?? Do we need a drill with more torque to get the screws to go in?? Does anyone know why we might be having trouble? What can I do to fix this?

ok where to start. short story i was on jolessa for almost a year switched to ortho tri-cyclen reg. for breakthrough bleeding problems. this is my 2nd mo on this pill. it was great the first month and i have had no problems until now. i do the sun. start i got my period the day of the first inactive pill last month. well this month i got it (today)thurs. i still have two active pills left. my stomach had started cramping this morning then this evening i noticed quite a bit of dark brown blood. sorry. now its almost gone and very light and my stomach still hurts. so does this mean that my period is just early or is it another case of the 3 week bleeding. if it is just my period does this mean that i will bleed all the way through next week since i havent stopped taking the active pills just yet??since all they are are withdrawal bleeds. or will it be like a normal period im so over birth control it sometimes seems to hurt more than it helps. i just dont know what to do. if anyone has had this happen or any simlar experiences please let me know

Just had my 2nd baby a week ago and since then my 16 month old is giving me attitude. She goes to my husband, which is her dad but wont come to me. If you have been enjoying Vonnegut, try Oryx and Crake by Margaret Atwood. I cannot recommend it highly enough. Have you ever read John Irving, he was a student od Vonnegut's. Baby shower question and mother in law issues...?

Ok so i'm 29 weeks pregnant with baby #2 and my mom is throwing me a baby shower.The thing is i had a babyshower with my first child and my mom threw me a huge shower. It was at a hall and very expensive. Well my mother in law back then asked if there was anything she could do and my mom told her she could use the help and that my mil could get the cake and maybe put in $300 and get there a little early to help her decorate, well the shower came and she bought a cake (which she gets very cheap because she works where she got it) and that was it, didn't even show up to help decorate or even bring a camera (you would think it'd be something she'd want to remember since its her first grandchild) instead she stayed with her back facing me the whole time and was very rude. Talked to just her family the whole time and was constantly outside the hall chain smoking. Well anyway i got pregnant in august of this year and she asked me if i was having a shower, i said i didn't know since this was my second child and she made a comment saying" oh i'm sure your mom and i will throw u something" well i had a miscarriage in october and was devastated but ended up conceiving again in November, just one month later. When we started talking about the shower, my mil said "tell your mom i definitely want to do alot more this time because i'm in a different place now and want to help more" (when i had my first she was dating a guy my boyfriends age and he left her so she was depressed) Anyway, about a mth ago my boyfriend told his mom that my mom is going to be having the shower but my parents struggle to and that it'd be nice if she got the cake again and contributed some money like $200 and she was like "NO" Then she made all these comments "she has 2 parents with 2 incomes, i don't work full time(her choice cuz she's VERY lazy) blah blah blah" She has absolutely no bills. She lives with her mom, doesn't pay anything to her and doesn't drive. She spends the majority of her money on cigarettes! And my bf's brother and his gf live with the grandmom to and my mil favors them. If it was the girlfriends baby shower my mil would go all out for her! But she can't even help my mom a little bit and my parents actually have bills to pay and young children to care for, they struggle. My mil has no worrys and lives a very easy life. Well anyway my bf got upset and just told his mom that its not fair my mom does everything and we're just going to have a smaller shower with just my family so my mil got mad and said fine don't invite me and hasn't spoken to us in weeks. She's even taking it out on my son because he didn't have anything to do with this and she hasn't even called to speak to him or anything which is a whole other issue. She is all about going out to bars and having fun but goes mths without seeing my son and when she does see him its because i take him to her which i'm tired of doing. I could go on and on but my question is what would you all do about the babyshower situation? Let her come or leave things the way they are??? Deleting files from hosting via ftp is slow.?

is there any way deleting files can be speeded up . i am trying to delete numerous files in various subdirectories in one go by selecting all and delete, in filezilla ftp program. this is going so slowly , i know that it will finish eventually. but it seems that the ftp program and server are going through a complicated request/response handshake thing for each file. can the server not just accept the request once and delete all the folders i have highlighted.

Why am I feeling ill, and are these things linked?

A couple of weeks ago I missed the pill (microgynon 30), and so took two the next day. Afraid of going through another c -section?

I had the same experience as you with all the tries for the spinal/epidural and it hurt like hell! I really don't want to go through that either, and yes it is your choice. I will choose general anesthesia again, and I feel like they should allow it if you had an unsuccessful attempt at a spinal/epidural. I guess all you can do is ask your doctor and hopefully he/she will be understanding. My back still hurts-5 months later! I know you feel like your husband is missing out, but in the end all that matters is you and the baby and the safest route to get him/her here. So don't feel guilty! Everything happens for a reason!

How is prayer logical?

I used to pray all the time, and was convinced it was logical. I used to think that anybody who questioned it, or said it was illogical was just unenlightened and didn't understand. Then I realized all while long, I was the one in the dark, I was the one confined to a mentality, prayer doesn't work at all. I'm interested in what theists think of this. I've had people admittedly say that there is no logic to prayer, but that doesn't make any sense.

I don't think it's a bad thing for kids to be "exposed" to the real world. I think it's better for them...the only way kids become desensitized is if they live/witness those "bad things" everyday. To be aware of drugs, the fact that some ppl are bad, and so on is a good thing. So that they know, that is not the way to behave. From ppl I know that have been sheltered they were not able to handle real life when they had to.

Who won yesterday between the Redskins and the Cowboys?

The Redskins did win 26-24. Dallas basically won the first quarter and lead 7-0. However, the Redskins really got their offense going after that and scored two touchdowns and two field goals in the next four drives. Dallas was able to tie the game at 17 after their first position of the third quarter, but the Cowboys just never got their running game going. Experienced photographers: macro work...?

In some of the pictures, your subjects were a bit off focus. Nonetheless, for starters, not bad. Of course in macro photography, you always want to have your lens with its aperture wide open. It all comes down to choosing the right subject, getting the right focus on it, what lens you use, lighting situations, etc. You generally want your subject in the center for macro photography, since that is where most of the attention is brought whilst the rest of the photo is in blur from the lens. The wider the aperture, the more "bookeh" you will receive. Keep that in mind when shopping for a lens. Generally, the focusing distance and F-stop on a lens all factor in to how much of the "bookeh" you're going to receive. Lighting is an issue when it comes to macro photography. You always want most of the light on your subject. Ring flashes do aid in bringing more light onto the subject, but it also depends on the natural lighting conditions. Keep those in mind, hope you get what you're looking for. Keep on shooting!

Do we need more stringent laws as a deterrent? Some other country's, ie singapore, have laws that fit the crime. They're crime rate is nothing compared to ours. Should we take lessons from some of these othere countries? I lived in Singapore for 2 1/2 years so I do have first hand experience.
